I phoned the day before my op as instructed and was told the op was going ahead as planned, I arrived at 11:45 ,15mins before on Friday 13/12/13, 11 people in the waiting room each one backwards and forwards seeing the nurse then the anaesthetist then finally the surgeon ,by this time it was 13:30, we got changed in to the robes and sat in the waiting room to be called in,a few guys went down then at 3pm the remaining group was told that all ops have been canceled and we are being sent home, only to be told to come back Monday 16/12/13, I have taken Friday off work unpaid hoping to be back to work the following week as I have courses booked which I needed to attend,, if I came back on Monday then one more day unpaid plus the Tuesday and losing the course few, I told the doctor this was totally unacceptable and needed to be seen today and I don't care how long I wait, he understood my predicament and ask me to wait till around 5pm and if he could fit me in he would, around 4:30pm I had the shout to go down to surgery as the doctor would see me after all, never had the chance to see the doctor after but would like to thank him and his staff for all they did and the aftercare was second to none,by doing my procedure on the day agreed has saved me so much trouble and expense. Thanks
