My gran recently broke her hip and was taken into hospital for an operation.
Two days after her operation she was removed from her bed at lunch time to a chair. She was wearing only her nightdress - no slippers or dressing gown. Despite asking repeatedly for help as she was cold, she was left there until 6:30pm when my mother visited and found her still in the chair, apparently freezing and confused.
