Anything else?
I just wanted to express my feelings about the midwife services I received before, during and after the birth of my baby. Honestly, I couldn't be happier! Having a baby is rarely easy for anyone but I felt that the service I received throughout was excellent. My midwife was supportive and helpful in the months preceding the birth. Once in labour, and at the Juno suite, all my needs were taken into account throughout with regular checks (every 15min to 30mins), I had use of the water birthing pool which was amazing! I have to say that alone was worth going to Colchester for! It helped no end in making sure I had a relatively easy birth. The pain relief was administered well throughout and I was made as comfortable as possible. After the birth, I was given a room on my own, which I recognise I was very lucky to have! After the birth I had numerous checks, as did the baby, and support from the midwives on the ward to help breast feed. In the days after the birth, the midwives came out to my home and checked us both very carefully. Having heard some of the stories from other hospitals around the country, I think Colchester deserves some praise.
