What I liked
Ward was over crowded by the fact that 6 beds had been put into bays designed for four. The impact of this was far reaching, from poor access to poor cleaning practices. Nursing care I received was variable to say the least and although there seemed to be lots of uniforms around, very few of them seemed to be qualified to actually do anything to help you medically. It was impossible to work out who was actually in charge overall, what happened to the reintroduction of matrons?
I would find it impossible to recommend this hospital to anybody and I will certainly avoid ever being admitted to it again (unless I have no choice becuase I've been run over by a bus!).
What could be improved
Get rid of two beds from each bay. Apart from I would know where to start - the whole problem seems to be ingrained and systemic!
