Recently been in JCUH neurology, I would just like to express gratitude and praise for the surgeon and the department for the treatment I received for a microdiscectomy on my lumbar spine. From my pre op to leaving hospital after surgery I could not fault the staff or service they provided, they all made me feel at ease, least of all my sciatic pain was instantly gone and have been a new person ever since! Much appreciation to this ward and all it's staff.....highly recommend and faultless :) thank you all

I am pleased to learn your surgery was successful and you are recovering well. I shall certainly forward your kind words to the staff involved, who I am sure will be equally pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work.
