"dreadful service "

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

A truly dreadful service with no choice (and no appointments either! ).

I would like an appointment at my local hospital, is this really too much to ask?

Many thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the TRAQS service. TRAQS acts on behalf of your GP. If there are hospitals available for you to go to, then you will be offered them.

As I do not have your referral letter to hand (as all postings on here are anonymous) it is unfortunate that I can't see if your GP decided on a particular hospital for you (if this is the case, then you should have been included in the discussion with your GP)

With regards to your comment "no appointments either!" TRAQS are not a hospital, we cannot and do not control appointments availability at the hospitals local or otherwise. If there are no appointments available then and we inform you of such, then this is because the hospital do not have any appointments for TRAQS to book into.

That is why we offer choice of hospitals. All phone calls in TRAQS are recorded for training and monitoring purposes, so if you still feel dissatisfied with the way in which your referral was dealt with by the TRAQS team, please do not hesitate to contact me on (01952) 580364 and I will do my very best to assist you further.
