"Hi how are you? "

Wow, that's a loaded question

so many responses to choose

I could tell the truth

for once in my life

I'm not great today

I'm sad

angry

lonely

I need help

I have depression

I just cut myself

I could at least tell some of the truth

I feel a bit ill

I'm stressed

tired

hungry

I wish I was in bed

But no, you guessed it

I'm fine

I'm good

I'm Ok

Take your pick, they're all the same

lie in the end

Thank you Emily for sharing some of your Poetry with us. I know you wished to help other's and I am sure many people will relate to what you have written. I am also sure this will be thought provoking to all who read it whether service user, carer or clinician.

I hope things have improved for you now and that you were able to open up and talk honestly in your sessions with your worker to support your recovery.

Poetry can be a really useful and powerful form of expression. Thank you again for sharing it with us.
