Anything else?
I had heard such awful tales about the Royal that I was most concerned when my m-i-l was admitted for an emergency operation, I must have been listening to life,s perpetual moaners. All the staff we have met have been wonderful. Highly skilled and professional surgical and nursing staff with time to listen and help the patients. The ward was well organised and spotlessly clean, good meals and lots of encouragement and time to eat. I cannot praise this hospital enough. The biggest turnoff is having to wade through the smokers at the main entrance. these people should be moved to the smoking shelter or be made to go to a quieter place so that the entrance is fit for visitors to use, this needs to be done now, it is too long to wait for the new buildings. Many thanks to The Royal for the speedy return to health of my m-i-l.
