Anything else?
Having made a self referral for Physio through my GP surgery I was advised to call St Mary's physio dept 2 days later to arrange an appointment time. I have just spent most of the day trying to connect with the department - the phone line is either constantly engaged or simply not answered. I did eventually manage to get through to a receptionist who whilst not directly rude was abrupt and very unhelpful. After telling me that my referral had not yet been processed 'as they are behind' she acknowledged it was very difficult to get through on the telephone and her advice would be to visit the department in a weeks time and make an appointment in person! I fully appreciate the pressure NHS depts. are under but there is no excuse for such poor service
