I have just returned from an outpatient appointment at Leigh Health Centre in Leigh Infirmary for suspected Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. The experience was excellent. I was seen straight away by a practitioner, who was courteous, friendly, professional and took the time to really explore my symptoms and to listen to my queries and concerns. She has arranged further x-rays and diagnostic tests and is willing to work with my desire to avoid surgery if possible, although reassuring me that this is an option in the future should I change my mind. Considering all the negative press in regard to NHS care, I can only state that this service could not have been better. Well done Leigh Infirmary and keep up the excellent work.
