"Given the wrong drugs."

About: Royal Derby Hospital

Anything else?

My wife was given the wrong drugs. Bowl tablets instead of a resolution to bad period pains for poly cystic ovaries. My wife knows the difference between period problems and bowl problems. She been in before for the same thing and was treated for the pain. This time my wife had to suffer in agony and be sent home with Bowl tablets. What a waste of time.

Thank you for your feedback received today regarding your wife's attendance at the Emergency Department at the Royal Derby Hospital. I was very disappointed to hear that this experience was not a positive one and would certainly like the opportunity to investigate these matters so we can respond to you more fully. If this is something you would like us to do, you may wish to consider contacting our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on Freephone: 08007837691 or via email on dhft.contactpals@nhs.net to discuss these issues in more detail so we can investigate and respond to you further. In the meantime, may I offer my sincere apologies for any upset caused on this occasion and once again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback today. Kind regards Miss Deborah Furness, member of the Royal Derby Hospital Patient Experience Team
