Anything else?
I was admitted over a year ago with a serious heart problem and stayed for 14 days. During that time I received the best medical care and nursing that I could imagine. All aspects of my care was first class and I couldn't find any fault. I have continued to make progress and am now back in work. The system saved my life and I can never repay all the wonderful staff from the cleaners to the consultants. I would say a good percentage of patients I met in hospital where there through there own inability to take the advice offered. It makes me bemused when you have to walk passed cardiac patients smoking in the entrance or listen to tales of woe while people eat mars and drink coca cola bars instead of the perfectly good food offered. I reckon I received £70,000 plus of medical care free plus all the back up. We all have different experiences but I suggest you don't believe newspaper misinterpretation of the facts and put into context the stories you hear most of which are anecdotal and cannot be conclusive evidence of fact. The NHS staff work under tremendous pressure and are gifted with humanity. I could not do their job -they are special people and I will always be in their debt, Mark Holden
