"Emergency care"

About: Alexandra Hospital / Urology West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

After much argument I finally caved in and called an Ambulance due to terrible lower left rear back pain. The Ambulance paramedics arrived in no time and; looked after me, they treated me with good grace and were very, very professional. They took me to Worcester Royal A&E dept. The staff there were brilliant, superb, beyond any words of praise I know. They treated me superbly from beginning to end and any when I was dealt within a timely manner. After several hours in the A&E dept I was placed in the CDU where I was told that I had in fact a left Kidney Stone and I would need to go the the Alex in Redditch where Urology is based. Again the staff were brilliant, superb, professional and super courtious. On attending the Alex a few hours later, the same, superb staff, professional at every approach. An over night stay resulted in the stone being passed and no residual effects of note.
