"Specsavers: I don’t think they have done a thorough job"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire

(as the patient),

I had an appointment with Specsavers to have my hearing tested. My appointment was at 9: 00 and by 9: 10 it was over.

I came away feeling that it was not a very satisfactory appointment, the examination did not seem to be very thorough. The audiologist hardly seemed to do anything more than the nurse had at the clinic. In fact the nurse tested my hearing in each ear separately, at Specsavers both ears were tested at the same time.

At the end I was told that he did not think hearing aids would help me, no explanation why, no offer to try them to see if they make a difference or suggestion that a referral to the hospital would be useful or appropriate for me.

The people that I saw were fine, all were pleasant and I was treated well. However, I don’t think they have done a thorough job.
