"The crew waited for me so that they could get me home quicker"

I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to the ambulance crew you brought me home after my appointment at the hospital. I needed to go for a blood test afterwards, the crew waited for me so that they could get me home quicker, otherwise I would have had to wait for hours before they could pick me up again.

I’m so grateful that they waited for me; they went out of their way to do so.

There was a member of the crew who was in the ambulance with me – they used to be a police officer but I haven’t got their name. It would be great if you could thank them for me.
