I would just like to say how wonderful the staff were when I had a colonoscopy in the McIntyre Endoscopy Unit at High Wycombe Hospital.
Not having been a patient in hospital for nearly 50 years, I was naturally nervous... but from the moment I checked in at reception I could not have been treated more kindly.
I would like to thank them all...........from the young lady at reception, the nurse who checked my details, got me to strip off (the staff jokingly scolded me for not bringing a dressing gown and slippers and told me to leave my socks and shoes on...not very flattering!) and kindly adjusted my gown....Magda who put in my cannula and talked about Romania.....Jessica who took me to theatre and settled me on the bed and baffled me with her accent........just could not guess where she came from.....The surgical team who performed the procedure with total professionalism ....and finally Sally who dealt with me afterwards, giving me tea and biscuits and making sure that I was OK to leave.
