"Difficulties in making a physiotherapy appointment"

About: NHS Fife

(as the patient),

Received a letter from NHS Fife advising that my name had come to the top of a list for physiotherapy. Had been waiting two months. The instruction was to call Pitteuchar Health Centre to arrange a date (within two weeks from receipt of the letter). Telephoned 5 times at differing times of the day only to be told each time that the staff responsible for making the appointments were busy! Asked if I could leave my number for the purpose to call me back but was advised that they don't normally do that. I give up now but please improve this process for others.

Dear Chiang Mai

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. Your experience sounds very frustrating and I appreciate why you feel like giving up.

I will make sure I pass your comments on to the Practice in the hope that they can resolve this issue for you and others who make contact.

If you experience any ongoing difficulty you should ask to speak to the Practice Manager who will be able to help.

Regards

Louise Ewing
