I was unfortunate enough to have this procedure done a while ago, and i was really disappointed with my whole experience, I was only in hospital as a day patient, thank goodness! I was obviously anxious about the procedure but no one spoke to me about it or tried to reassure me in any way. The staff ignored me and simply told me what to do. when it was done i was informed the doctor would discuss the results with me, but after waiting a while a nurse gave me a leaflet to read and told me that the doctor had to "shoot off" All in all i felt that my treatment had been uncaring and downright rude. It has really upset me, and i dread the thought of ever having to come into Alnwick infirmary again.
