"Put national targets before patients"

About: Manor Hospital

Anything else?

You seem to be waiting forever in the A&E at this hospital, the staff put your looks before your health condition when deciding, which patients to see first. You could be dying and nothing will be done if the face does not fit. The staff are rude and not interested in what patients have to say. The new building was a waste of money, why waste so much money on the new building when you can't invest money more efficiently like training staff and management to put patients before national targets. Why apply for foundation trust status when you can't provide basic patient care?

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you recently received in our Emergency Department. Initial assessment of patients clinical need for priority of treatment is undertaken to ensure that life threatening conditions are seen promptly but this may result in some patients waiting longer to be seen. We work towards the national standard of all patients being seen, treated and discharged within four hours. We would be happy to look into your specific concerns and request that you speak to our Patient Relations team about your experience. Please contact them at your convenience on 01922 656463. We encourage positive and negative feedback with the family and friends test which is available in the Emergency Department. Becoming an NHS Foundation Trust is entirely consistent with our commitment to strive constantly to be the best at delivering the highest standards of care.
