"parking"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

Anything else?

I'am happy with all aspects of the hospital what iam upset and think its a disease to hear that the nurse and doctors have to pay for there parking just to go to work and give the care and hard work to keep us all well they should get free parking or at least a big discount i had blood taken today that how i found this out and the night worker is not safe for them get to there car if they park in the back car park so they should have nearer parking to the main doors and free for them to park, what would we do with out them and there dedication .

Dear Ms Watson Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It is always lovely to hear when patients are very happy with our services. Staff pay a nominal fee of £10 a month to park their vehicles onsite. The car parks are privately maintained and operated by Vinci Park and not by the hospital Trust. The safety of our staff is paramount and Vinci Park run a scheme called “Call and Collect”. This offers staff working at night a security escort from the hospitals main entrance to their vehicle. Security stay with them until they are safely in their car. On occasions this has included escorting staff to their vehicles parked offsite. A ‘Get You Started’ service is also available to staff who need assistance with starting their cars which includes jump starts if necessary. Hopefully this information has allivated some of the concerns you have raised. With best wishes The Communication Team Darent Valley Hospital
