Anything else?
I have been to the Foscote hospital twice in the past for internal examinations and was impressed with the service, but this was my first time for surgery. As well as having had good previous experience, I liked the thought of being in a smaller hospital without an A and E department so there was little chance of the operation being delayed or postponed. Everything was explained in detail up front and continually checked to ensure any issues I had were addressed and all questions answered. Having checked in on the day of surgery I was taken to my room and then saw the same nurse throughout the entire process right up to discharge. This felt like a very personal service, instead of being dealt with by several different people throughout the day and the nurse's care was absolutely faultless. Before the operation I was visited by the consultant and the anaesthetist who both took as much time as was needed to explain the procedure and exactly what would happen in the process. On coming round afterwards the consultant visited again to assure me everything had gone well and arranged a follow up appointment for next month. The evening meal was excellent and I left with all the information I required to make a full recovery. I would like to express my thanks tothe consultant and his team who made my visit as good as it could be under the circumstances. Should I need another hospital visit, the Foscote hospital would be my first choice
