"The care of my mother"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

My mother was 94 when she was taken to East Surrey hospital in August 2011. She was made so comfortable and was so happy there.

She was put into a mixed age ward and not an elderly ward (where she enjoyed the company of the younger patients) and was kept comfortable and clean.

She later passed away in September 2011. It was such a relief to us as a family to see her so happy in her last days.

I can't remember the ward she was on.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE NURSING CARE.

Dear Joyful

Thank you for posting your comments about your Mother's care in 2011. I was particularly struck by your saying that your Mother was so happy in her last days. It seems to me that it would be difficult to imagine a higher compliment to the care provided by our staff.

Best wishes

Ian
