Anything else?
On my way out of the labrynth - like ENT hospital, I was a little lost and asked a middle-aged man who was behind me for help. Shockingly, he turned around and said "Well we use modern-European exit signs, I wouldn't expect you to know how to use them." It was a bog-standard green exit sign with an arrow! Of course I understood it! It was only a problem when you go upstairs there are several doors leading to various different parts of the hospital. I was completely disgusted by what he said and as I recovered from the shock (I was so surprised I didn't even manage to reply to him I saw him being greeted really warmly by someone wearing the hospital staff pass. I decided to sit down and wait and when he left, I went up to the staff and asked "Excuse me who were you speaking with just then?" and his reply was a rude "Well who the hell are you?" I explained what happened and after being told about 5 times "Why the hell should I tell you?" he finally gave in and told me the person was a consultant who had retired some years ago. I am terrified of the thought of my health being in the hands of people like these! UCLH - you should be ashamed.
