I had to visit the A&E department recently following a bang to the head whilst at work. Everyone I came into contact with from the gentleman on the reception desk to the triage nurse and the doctor and nurses who treated me were really lovely and reassuring. As someone who had only been to a hospital twice before in my 38 years due to minor injuries it felt a little daunting but I really was put at ease and treated with respect and kindness. The department was clean and pleasant and I did not have to wait long to be seen. Glad to know it's my local hospital!
