"Ambulatory department"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

I brought my mum for a blood transfusion a couple of weeks ago; the nurses were so kind, and treated all the patients with dignity and patience. One nurse spent some time listening to a man as he told his story, not rushing him, and making him feel like he mattered. I imagine this department deals with a lot of older people and many terminally ill patients, so it is heart warming to see that in these times of cuts and staff shortages, the staff taking such care to put the patients first.
