"Victoria Ward, Barnet General"

About: Barnet Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Labour ward fantastic, but enter a different world when sent over to Victoria Ward.

When a midwife was asked if she would show me how to breast feed, I was told curtly, "Do yourself a favour and get a bottle. I haven't got the time."

Lost notes and lost test results. It also seemed to me you've got more chance of winning the lottery than getting to see a Doctor on that ward. It seemed to me there was some practices on that ward that seemed to indicate due regard for mothers.

Congratulations on the birth of your child. I have noted your positive comments regarding the Labour Ward and have passed onto the relevant manager for their knowledge and awareness. As an organisation it is disappointing to read your poor perception of the Trust post natal services on Victoria Ward. Your response is anonymous and so we are unable to respond to you specifically regarding your feedback. If you would like a specific response please provide your contact details to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 02082164924 or email bcfpals@nhs.net. However, I have forwarded your feedback to Victoria Ward Manager for her to make team aware. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback
