"Out patients appointment"

I have had an appointment booked at the oaks hospital outpatients since 11/11. I went for my 8.30 appt today arriving at 8.10 only to be told the clinic had been cancelled and moved to the afternoon. I asked why i hadn't been advised of this and the receptionist shrugged her shoulders ! All she could say was the clinic had been changed by the provider - the consultant ! Perhaps he could have advised the customer - me. As i live twenty miles away i was unable to go home and come back for the 1.30 appt i should have had. A complete waste of my time.
