Anything else?
My mother, Dorothy was admitted to A5 on 21 November with a broken hip. She is 90 years old. I don't believe she is being well treated:- 1. Staff have criticised her for not making enough effort in her recovery - she is doing the best she can for a 90 year old. 2. She has been publicly berated by staff for blocking the toilet, and asked why she needs to go so often (they had given her laxatives). 3. Staff have not been attentive in helping her in and out of bed. 4. She has had the indignity of an all over wash by male rather than female staff. 5. One of her hearing aids was mislaid due to staff impatience. 6. Most importantly, staff failed to accompany her to the toilet resulting in another fall on the other hip. Fortunately she did not break it. Holby city this is not
