"A&E Waste of time"

My wife had a facial injury with cuts to her jaw and lip that were bleeding and her top teeth had been forced backwards into her mouth. We attended by taxi at 2:30am in the morning. The staff were pleasant but did not stitch the cuts or take an Xray to determine the extent of damage to her upper jaw and teeth as the Xray department was closed. Instead they put on a dressing issued anti-biotics and discharged us at 4:00am. We were told us to attend Addenbrooks A&E at 8:00am the next morning. Attending Hinchingbrooke was an expensive (£50) waste of time. This is apparently not a fully functioning A&E and I would suggest that you cut out the middle man and go straight to Addenbrooks. Even some of the staff at Addenbrooks were surprised that Xrays had not been taken. It will be interesting to see if Hinchingbrooke reply to this on the web site, looking at other comments it would appear doubtful.
