"nursing staff dragging this ward down."

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Anything else?

after visiting my mother recently, being a patient on ward 1 at broadgreen hospital i am totally disgusted at what i witnessed whilst visiting, i heard a number of staff nursers bad mouthing a patient regarding her stay on this ward, it seems in their opinion she is there longer than they feel she should be and she should not be having as much pain as she say`s she is having, i heard the ladies name being mentioned and i was talking to one of her visitors i did not mention to them what i had heard but it seems the lady had revision surgery on her knee and in my opinion from what they told me had been through a lot these nurses have obviously never been through what this lady and probably most of the patients on this ward have been through, it is not acceptable and hope that i never have to stay on ward 1,these were staff nurses in royal blue and a hca in pale blue, surely if the consultant feels this lady needed to be there then she needs to be there, nobody goes to hospital to be ridiculed like this they need to be there for treatment and should not be given bad treatment, i just hope these nurses read this site and stop and think at what they are saying about these patients and i do hope that one day they will be on the receiving end of this bad mouthing they are supposed to be professonal people if they need to jangle about patients then they are in the wrong job they would be better off in another job.
