"Why give appointment times if not going to keep to them?"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Appointment was at 10am. Called at 10.40am to see nurse for preliminary health questions. Waited further 10mins to have photos taken of eye. Waited another 30mins to see consultant for 5mins. In meantime could hear the two doctors making and drinking coffee. No apology for wait at any time. Finally gained my freedom at 11.30am. Why give appointment times if not going to keep to them? Totally unacceptable.
