my husband spent the last 6 days of his life in Yeovil I.C.U. The care given to him was exemplary allowing him to retain his dignity throughout. The care,sensitivity and support that I, as his wife was given, helped me enormously through this very emotional and sad time. The staff on the unit were fantastic, so friendly, approachable and understanding and we should be very thankful for them and for the lovely people they are and the fantastic work they do. I would also like to say that all the staff we encountered in the Macmillan unit that cared for my husband and I were equally amazing people and i cannot thank them enough for all their support.
