"Possible cancer patient still waiting for..."

About: Wansbeck Hospital

Anything else?

A lump was spotted in my throat during a MRI scan on my spine. They knew the lump was there 4 weeks before I was told about it. I was told I would have checks done within 2 weeks and three weeks later I was still waiting for an appointment. I eventually saw a Doctor who said its likely not cancer but cant be ruled out we still need to check it so he sent me to the xray desk to book an ultrasound I was then told my appointment would be another 3 weeks. when I explained to the lady on the desk that it had already been 7 weeks from them discovering it she said "oh yeah ill get the schedule from the xray dept and ring you today with a date and time that's closer" I said that's fine and off I went. no phone call received two days later spoke to doctors secretary and been told to await a phone call. I doubt this phone call will ever come as I have been messed around so much by this hospital not just on this occasion but many times before. You better hope this isn't cancer! Its about time the nhs started holding all of thier staff accountable for there actions and inactions and they should be punished accordingly.

Dear Sir/Madam I absolutely understand your concerns at this current moment. I would really like to help you resolve this situation but due to your feedback being anonymous, it is impossible for me respond in a more practical way at this point. I would be really grateful if you could email me at Joanne.Mackintosh@northumbria-healthcare.nhs.uk Best Wishes Jo
