Anything else?
i have had several operations over the years and was always given general anesthetic, when i was told that this time i would be having an epidural in my spine and be awake for my op i became very scared.Well i now know that i should'nt have worried one bit. From the moment i arrived on ward 9 i sensed i was in good hands with people that not only cared for you but knew what they doing and spoke and reassured you at all times.Nothing was too much trouble for them.On arriving down at the theatre, i was told everything what they were going to do and what was going to happen. I was going to be awake but at anytime they thought or i thought i needed to be put asleep they would. As it happens i felt this operation was an unbelievable exprience, i was constantly talking to all the staff in theatre, laughing and joking with them and when i was told the op was finished i could;nt believe it. I felt great and was back on the ward within minutes after i had had a cup of tea and check up in the recovery room. Again back on the ward i was met with smiling faces. I was only kept in for three nights before i was sent home. I cannot in my opinion speak highly enough of all the staff who cared for me.I must,nt forget my surgeon who performed a great operation.
