"I felt like I had been treated like a human being, rather than a number"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I saw Dr Oates. She was very professional and friendly. She explained the procedure, which while uncomfortable, was made more bearable by her reassuring manner.

I felt like I had been treated like a human being, rather than a number. Doctors like the one I saw today give me confidence in the NHS.

I waited about 45 minutes over my appointment time to be seen, but as there was a noticeboard showing the expected waiting time, I was pre-informed so it wasn't a big deal.
