I have been treated over the years by the same team and had excellent care until in my experience I put in a complaint and then I was greeted with them telling me, I've read your complaints, I heard you made a complaint about me and so on. Not a great way to start a conversation with someone who is mentally ill and feeling extremely venerable, suicidal and low at the time.
The psychiatrists changed and again I was greeted by her with I've read your complaints. She didn't listen to myself or my long time close friend about feeling suicidal and my other symptoms. She did however write at high risk of self harm and high risk of fatal accidental self harm but I will see her in 12 weeks and they withdraw the crisis team. Instead I am told we will offer 1 session per week of CPN for 1 hr and 1 phone call. Never have I felt so alone and disgusted at this service. I was that low I didn't want to wake each day. I dreaded it. Where was the support?
