"Happy with the consultation but the booking system did seem very long-winded"

About: Euston House Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Was referred to TRAQS initially by GP in June. Was several weeks before I received a date which was in early October, which seemed a rather long time.

Prior to reading this date it was cancelled and I wasn't able to make another convenient date until mid-November, which I wasn't very happy about.

However, appointment at Euston House skeletal clinic was attended and I was happy with the treatment received and possible ongoing treatment. However, I was never given a choice of hospital/clinic, so unsure why this question is asked.

There did seem to be some confusion over possible dates available at one time as well. Overall, was happy with the consultation when ultimately received but the booking system did seem very long-winded, although I appreciate the system is probably very over-stretched.

Thank you for providing TRAQS with your feedback.

TRAQS is primarily, about giving patients choice of where they would like to attend their appointment. However, there are ocassions when this is not practicable, and the decision as to where you are seen is either requested by your GP, or in cases similar to your own, a decision is taken by our in-house GP (who review your referral letter, in accordance with a set pathway).

I acknowledge the waiting time you have experienced may not be entirely acceptable to you and it is unfortunate that your initial appointment was cancelled. Unfortunately TRAQS is unable to book appointments into APCS (Advanced Primary Care Service) Euston House once we have referred your case to them.

Nevertheless, it is pleasing to note that you were satisfied with the consultation you received and I hope you will start to feel te benefit of your subsequent treatment.

Many thanks again for writing.
