Visited Colchester hospital after being sent there from an extremely helpful nurse at Clacton minor injuries unit. My 2 year old daughter fractured her leg and was sent to get a post cast xray. After the xrays were done we spoke with an orthopedic doctor who spoke us through the options available to us. We decided not to have our little one admitted and we went home with an appt for the fracture clinic next week. Wevwere told we would be contacted the following day after the dr we saw had shown the xrays to his boss. This never happened so i rang the hospital and spoke with a very helpful receptionist who said she would call me back which she did explaining that the dr would contact me. He called me to tell me he hadnt had a chance to show the xrays to his boss but that the registrar had seen the xrays and was happy with them however he was still going to show his boss the xrays and get back in touch....I am still waiting. I find it unacceptable that this is a young child with this type of injury and we arent being kept informed. He distinctly said he would call me back regardless of whether his boss wanted to see our little one or not. Cant fault clacton minor injuries or the nurse at colchester a&e
