What I liked
I recently gave birth in Kingston hospital and due to slight complications both before and after the birth spent ten days in the hospital. Through out this period I received excellent care, particularly on the Worcester Ward where the facilities were excellent. I had my own room which made a big difference and the midwives were really supportive, helping with breastfeeding and general advice on how to look after our son.
What could be improved
I was surpised that the food wasn't healthier and the breakfasts in particular were very poor - just bread (no toast) and cereal. I was also disappointed by the follow up visits at home by the hospitals midwifery team as these were very rushed and generally unhelpful.. it just felt like they were ticking boxes to be able to pass me over to my local GP service.
