A couple of weeks ago I had the good news that, six months after completing my course of radiotherapy at Hallam, Sheffield, my PSA is now very low and so my prostate cancer is being successfully managed. I want to try and thank the excellent team who have and still are, looking after me. Following careful monitoring at Chesterfield Royal I was faced with a choice of treatments.Consultants explained options very clearly and made my decision making simple - Radiotherapy. Sheffield. My consultant determined, managed and monitored my radiotherapy treatment and the radiotherapy team at Hallam really put me at my ease and managed my well being as well as my radiotherapy. Nine weeks of treatment can be tedious but they were fastidious, very understanding and considerate and made it as comfortable as possible. Reception greeted us like old friends and the car park attendant made the helpful best of a difficult job. I cannot praise too highly the expertise, diligence and caring approach of everybody concerned. At every stage I felt I was in the hands of caring, expert professionals that I could trust. One hears a lot of people complaining about the NHS. I have only praise and do not believe I could have had better treatment anywhere. Thank you all. Colin Sharpe
