"Ward noise"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

Anything else?

Please please, do something about the foot peddle bins that are used on the wards. They are so noisy at any time but at night it is terrible and is actually frightening for some patients. And once woken it is very difficult to sleep again before another bin bangs shut. Other hospitals are/have replaced the bins on wards to a slow-close quieter type - could Salisbury do the same?

Thank you for giving us a positive rating for the care you received here at Salisbury District Hospital. Thank you too for your comments about the bins in patient areas. This is something that we are addressing, and are currently having discussions with a number of suppliers of soft close bins so that we can replace those we currently use. Thank you once again and best wishes for your recovery.
