"my mom"

About: Moseley Hall Hospital

Anything else?

My mom is in final stages of dementia and consequently has been in ward 5 for 6 weeks+. She has been treated with dignity and kindness right from the start. All the nursing staff treat mom, both medically and emotionally, in a calm, professional and very importantly to us, caring manner. The nurses provide us with regular updates either in person or by phone if necessary. They are also to hand if u need a shoulder to cry on and even find time to make a comforting cup of tea. Visiting mom can be very distressing as the vile disease of dementia has robbed her of everything she once was, our only comfort at his heartbreaking time is that she is being so well looked after by a team of truly kind and caring nurses. Thank you ♡

Thank you for taking time to give your feedback at such a difficult and emotional time. If you have not already had a chance to do so, you may be wish to speak with the Carers Support Officer specifically working with carers of people with dementia. If you have not yet spoken to her and wish to do so, please contact Alison Kirton on 0121 466 4312 or email alison.kirton@bhamcommunity.nhs.uk
