"Tameside is a fantastic hospital"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat Tameside General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

In February 2013, my husband had major surgery to remove his right tonsil and 14 glands from his neck due to cancer. All went well 'till 10 days after surgery, when he had a massive post-op bleed. He lost 2 litres of blood in 30 mins. He was rushed to Tameside Hospital.

I cannot fault the care he received, as did I, during this very uncertain time. The ENT surgeon who saved his life was 1000% dedicated to her work. I really need to find who this lady was as I owe so much to her. Without the true devotion and dedication of the fantastic members of tameside hospital, my husband would, without doubt, no longer be alive today.

I have nothing but good things to say about Tameside Hospital. Too many people jump on the wagon because the hospital, has in the past, had a bad reputation. Tameside is a fantastic hospital.

The downfalls are within the government who has made the cut-backs. Understaffing is not the hospitals fault. Congratulations TGH. You're doing a great job on your limited resourses. xxx
