Having recently undergone surgery for the removal of a neck tumour, as well as a partial Parotidectomy, I am keen to pass on my feedback. I can confidently state that, at every stage of the process, the level of service and quality of care I received far exceeded my expectations. The Consultants and all of the nurses and support staff I met along the way, were truly exceptional. QA (and its patients) are lucky to have a truly dedicated, professional and highly skilled team who genuinely understand the needs of their patients. At what could have been a stressful and worrying time I was reassured, relaxed and comfortable. The operation should have left me with scarring, but due to the care, skill and consideration that the Consultants took this has been significantly reduced, and I am delighted with the result. I would also like to praise the team of nurses and support staff that looked after me on ward D8. They were attentive, considerate and had an excellent bedside manner. My opinion of the NHS, and of QA Hospital in particular, has been overturned in these last few weeks and I will be telling anyone who will listen about my positive experience.
