About: University Hospital Of North Tees

Anything else?

I had the misfotune to take ill on Monday 18/11. However I need not have worried I called 111 & spoke to a very helpful operator, He took my details etc & called an ambulance for me, his attitutde was kind & professional. within minutes the ambulance arrived & i was examined & it was decided to take me to hospital, the ambulance crew where first class taking time to tell me what was happening even popping in the house to let my girlfriend know what was happening. I was taken to North Tees Hospital & taken to A&E where i was examined & details taken by Staff Nurse on duty & a student nurse, who put me at my ease, their manner & attitude was professional & friendly throughout & this put me at my ease, I was exmained by an A&E doctor & sent for xray & then returned to A&E before been told i was to be admitted for further examination & investigation, I was then transfered to ACU under the care of a member of staff whose bedside manner & professionalism are first class, I was duly examined again by a DR who again went through all the booking in & he advised I would need to be seen by a senior doctor, again this was arranged, having been exmained a diagnosis was given & then i was sent for an ultrasound scan & later transfered to ward 31. On tuesday I was seen by the dcotor & an endoscopy was arrnaged where again the level of care was first class with everyone been extremely kind & professional. Special mention to be made of a student nurse whose atitude to her job & her happy demenour is a great credit to her. I was returned to ward 31 & stayed overnight following a review by the doctors on Wednesday I was discharged. During the whole of my stay the staff were extremely friendly& kind went the extra mile to put me at my ease, There attitude to their patients was beyond question both with my self & to the other patients in their care in the other beds in the wards. I would personally like to say a very heartfelf thank you for my care it made what otherwise would have been a very unpleasant experience more than bearable
