Lady went to Tameside Hospital for a ligament operation on her left leg. She suffered damage to the nerves in her leg during the procedure. She now walks with a stick and has to use analgesic patches to control the pain, although she is in permanent discomfort despite this. Hospital consultant told her and her husband it is a common complication of surgery but they were not made aware of this before the procedure. She now needs an operation on her right leg and is reluctant. She will under no circumstances return to Tameside for any further treatment.
