"Second time around"

About: The Yorkshire Clinic

Anything else?

I recently underwent a total knee replacement in October, this is the second procedure I have had in this hospital this year (hip replacement in March). I couldn't fault the staff or the service either time. I was surprised to read a review referring to the fact that the staff treat NHS patients like second class citizens. On neither occasion was the fact I was an NHS patient even mentioned. Everyone from the consultant to the housekeeping staff was pleasant, courteous and helpful. When I had a couple of troublesome nights and apologised to the night staff for needing attention, they were at pains to put me at my ease and assured me that "This was what we are here for". In the last few years I have accompanied & visited both my husband and mother in various NHS hospitals around the district so I am able to make informed comparisons and Yorkshire Clinic is head and shoulders above the best of the rest. I would dread having to go into one of the other local hospitals now.
