About: Doddington Hospital

Anything else?

I am puzzled as to what the unit is all about, I have heard Doddington Hospital has a drop in center as other towns and villages have. I understand this to mean if you have a medical problem you can call in, out of hours and get advice or treatment. It does has a minor injuries unit, can you call in if you have an injury or do you have to make an appointment. As in my case I drove to the center on Sunday to seek advice or get treatment and was told I could not be seen, I was then informed to go away dial 111 where someone would ask a few questions then I would receive a call within 15 minutes giving me an appointment time. 3 hours later I received a call asking me more questions and no appointment, I think it would be a good idea if it was made clear to everybody just what the unit is all about.

There are two services at Doddington one is a Minor Injuries Unit the other is an out of hours GP service it maybe that you attended the GP service rather than the Minor injuries unit.
