Anything else?
On the 29th July my GP referred me to the Clinical Assessment service as I am suffering from chronic sciatica. On the 13th September I was seen by one of the CAS team. Subsequently I had an MRI scan on my spine on 25th September. On 14th October my GP referred me to the Back Clinic at the hospital and I was given an appt for 19th December. On November 5th I received a letter from the Orthopaedic dept cancelling my appt at the back clinic because: ' the team have decided that your care is best provided by CAS in the first instance ' so as 'to ensure that the best possible care pathway is initiated for you as a patient from the outset'. Which took me back to the position I was in on the 29th July. I don't really think that whoever wrote the cancellation letter cares about me at all or they would have bothered to read my notes. My GP has now secured me an NHS appt at a back clinic at the Spire hospital in Chatham because he feels it is pointless to refer me back to Medway hospital.
"Administration and general patient care...."
