My mother in law had a fall yesterday (17.11.2013)and the paramedics were called.During the fall she hit her head and had a little cut on the side of her head.We were advised to take her to minor injuries unit to be looked at.When we arrived the staff refused to see her, even look at her small cut.We were told that over 65s with head injuries were not treated and asked to take her to Addenbrooke's.This is outrages!She had a small cut and only needed steri-strip.She did not loose her consciousness and I can not believe that we had to take her to Cambridge for a couple of strips!I think this is disgraceful that 82 year old woman was treated that way.Also I found the staff very unhelpful and they did not even want to look and assess her cut.I will never visit this center again and will not recommend.
